Bulk actions let you change many work orders at once instead of opening them one by one. FacilityLane supports two bulk actions: status update and assignment.

Selecting multiple work orders

1

Open the List or Table view

Bulk selection is available in the List and Table views. See Work Orders Overview for switching views.
2

Narrow the set with filters

Filter by status, priority, assignee, or due date, or search, so the visible list matches what you want to change.

3

Select the work orders

Tick the checkbox on each row, or use the header checkbox to select everything currently visible. The bulk action bar appears with the count of selected work orders.

Bulk status update

1

Choose Update Status

With work orders selected, click Update Status in the bulk action bar.
2

Pick the new status

Select the status to apply — for example, moving a batch of Completed work orders to Verified after review. See Statuses and Priorities for status meanings.

3

Confirm

Confirm the change. Every selected work order gets the new status, and each change is logged in that work order’s activity feed.

Bulk assignment

1

Choose Assign

With work orders selected, click Assign in the bulk action bar.
2

Select users and/or teams

Pick one or more users and/or teams, just as when assigning a single work order.
3

Confirm

Confirm to apply the assignment to every selected work order. Assignees are notified for each work order they receive.

Common uses

  • Daily triage — filter to Open, select, and assign to the right teams in one pass
  • Verification — filter to Completed, review, and bulk-move to Verified
  • Coverage — when a technician is out, filter to their open work and bulk-reassign to a colleague or team
  • Cleanup — select stale duplicates and bulk-cancel them via status update
Bulk changes apply to every selected work order immediately and generate notifications for affected assignees. Double-check your selection count in the bulk action bar before confirming.
Filters and selection work together: filter first so “select all” grabs exactly the set you intend, rather than hand-picking rows from an unfiltered list.
