Go to Inventory and select Add Part. On mobile, tap the create button (FAB) and choose Part.

Enter identification details
Fill in the part number, name, manufacturer, and unit of measure (each, box, liter, and so on). Optionally enter an existing barcode, or leave it blank and generate a barcode or QR code later — see Barcodes & QR Codes.

Set stock levels and cost
Enter the quantity on hand, then set the minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels. Enter the unit cost — this drives parts cost calculations when the part is used on work orders.

Add dates, location, and category
Set expiry and warranty dates if applicable, choose the storage location from your location hierarchy, and assign a category and subcategory.

Link suppliers and vendors
Attach one or more suppliers or vendors from your vendor directory so reordering is one step away.

Attach images and files
Upload part photos and files such as datasheets or manuals, then select Save.

Setting the minimum and reorder levels at creation time means stock alerts and reorder suggestions work from day one. You can adjust them anytime — see Stock Levels & Alerts.
