The AI work order assistant turns a plain-language description into a ready-to-review work order. Type or speak what’s wrong, and LAYLA prefills the create form with the details it extracts.

How it works

You describe the problem — for example:
“The AHU on the second floor of Building A is making a grinding noise and the airflow is weak. Needs someone today.”
LAYLA extracts the details from your description and prefills the work order create form. You review, adjust anything, and save.

Create a work order with LAYLA

1

Open the AI assistant

Start a new work order and choose the AI assistant, or open LAYLA directly and say you want to create a work order.
2

Describe the problem

Type the description in natural language — in English, Arabic, Spanish, German, French, or Hindi. Include what’s wrong, where it is, and how urgent it feels; the more specific the description, the better the prefill.

3

Review the prefilled form

LAYLA opens the work order create form with the fields prefilled from your description. Check every field — especially the asset, location, and priority — and correct anything LAYLA got wrong or could not determine.

4

Save

Save the work order. From here it behaves like any other work order — assignment, checklists, and completion all work normally.
Always review the prefilled form before saving. LAYLA is accurate with clear descriptions, but you are responsible for the final record — particularly the asset and location.

Voice input on mobile

In the mobile app, you can speak the description instead of typing — useful when your hands are full or you’re standing at the equipment.
1

Start voice input

Open the AI assistant on mobile and start voice input.
2

Describe the problem out loud

Speak naturally in any supported language. LAYLA transcribes and processes your description the same way as typed text.

Getting better prefills

“Chiller 2 in the Building B plant room” prefills the asset and location; “the chiller is broken” leaves LAYLA guessing.
“Grinding noise and weak airflow” gives the assigned technician useful information even if your diagnosis would have been wrong.
Words like “today,” “urgent,” or “when convenient” help LAYLA set an appropriate priority.
LAYLA also provides smart time estimation, suggesting a duration for the job — useful when scheduling the work order onto a technician’s day.
