Start a conversation

Open Messages
Select Messages in the navigation (or the Messages tab on mobile).

Create a new conversation
Select New Conversation, then either:
- Pick one person for a direct message, or
- Pick multiple people to start a group conversation.

Send your first message
Type your message and send. Use the emoji picker to add emoji inline.
Attachments
Attach files and images to any message:- Select the attachment icon in the composer.
- Choose a file or image (on mobile you can also take a photo).
- Send. Recipients can preview images inline and download files.

Reactions
React to any message with a quick reaction: thumbs up, heart, check, fire, or eyes. Hover over a message (or long-press on mobile), then pick a reaction. Reaction counts appear under the message; select an existing reaction to add or remove yours.Reply, forward, pin, edit, and delete
Open the message actions menu (hover on web, long-press on mobile) to:- Reply — quote the original message so context stays attached.
- Forward — send the message to another conversation.
- Pin — keep important messages accessible from the conversation’s pinned list. Use this for standing instructions, schedules, or key documents.
- Edit — fix your own message after sending; edited messages are marked.
- Delete — remove your own message from the conversation.

Read receipts and typing indicators
- Read receipts show when your message has been seen by other participants.
- Typing indicators appear at the bottom of the conversation while someone is composing a reply.

No. Conversations are limited to members of the current organization workspace.
